Lake CIty Cafe in Lake City

Very lovely place and cute ambiance, truly a gem of Lake City. I had the fried cat fish, the seasoning is just right and not greasy, I ordered a half order but wish I had ordered a full order. Also, Lauren makes a really good margarita. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

Wow! We were shocked at how amazing the food was!! Seriously this place is worth driving from across the state to eat!! Hands down the best quality food I have had eating out in years! We live an hour and a half away and I will go back often to eat here

Food is delicious, but I will never return. We never got water glasses until we had to Request them and had to ask for missing food after the rest of my group had already eaten.

Oh my goodness. best pulled pork sandwich I've had in a good long while. Talked with the owner, he said he could get us in and out, and he did. Worth stopping in for sure.

This morning upon entering to this business, I asked for Irish Cream for our coffee. The lady who helped us asked the young man & he said they did have it. After I poured the coffee, I waited....and ask for the Irish Cream, she asked him for it & he said "we don't have it"...I asked to cancel the coffee order. He responded: "we don't know how because the owner is not here." 😞They need training and learn work ethic.

Great food. Only one guy working the grill so you may experience a small but worthwhile wait.

Place was avg. pricey for what you get. $16 for a mediocre hamburger seemed high. Main issue was the random kid hanging out at our table with our son. Assumed it was an owners kid??? I should’ve gotten a discount for babysitting and feeding this kid since he kept eating my sons food off his place. Weird and irritating.

Beat Fried pork tenderloin I've ever had. We also shared the piggy mac and who ever is doing the cooking back there knows their barbeque. So good.

Food was unexpectedly delicious! Great if you love comfort food. I recommend any of the fried chicken dishes. Service was great as well!

Service was horrible had to get our own refills then the waitress shorted us $10 of change and argued that it was there when it wasn't. The food was ok but I won't be coming back.

Stopped expecting to get a grilled cheese and a hotdog, ended up at one of the best southern restaurants in the mountains. Shrimp, catfish, hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, all some of the best I've ever had. Staff were friendly and considerate, and outside seating was lovely. So glad we stopped!

We made the drive over from Creede and let's just say we will be making the drive many more times in the future because the food is fantastic. I personally had the Catfish and loved it. Some in our group had the signature Chicken fried Steak which lived up to its reputation. No one in our party was disappointed. We also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner. He was very friendly and shared with us how almost everything is hand cut and made. He also shared his love for the wonderful community of Lake City.

One of the best places I've ate at in Colorado. This was hands down the best chicken fried steak I've had in years. Staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean, and my cup of water was never empty. Over all great place, would recommend.

The waitress was very rude and she gave us small portions of food. We will never be back.

This is a great spot for a meal when you are visiting Lake City. I've eaten here several times over the last couple of years and have never been disappointed. The menu isn't what you would expect in a small mountain town. The shrimp and grits are awesome! Had the hamburger steak tonight and it was quite tasty. Staff is friendly and and prices are very reasonable.

Great ride from Silverton by OHV. They r OHV friendly. Place to get gas and food. Great view just outside of town.

Delicious scratch cooking. There is something for everyone on the menu, but if you like chicken fried steak be sure to order it here. The gumbo looked very good too.

We did breakfast, lunch, and snacks at LC Cafe. Something for the whole family and all were happy!

Meatloaf was great, shrimp and grits amazing and the pecan glazed chicken salad was very good!

I have nothing good to say about our visit. We were there over 2 hours, our order was wrong when we got it, and the shrimp dinner on the menu said 8 shrimp and we only got 6. We asked for an extra plate and waited another 10 minutes for that. Our bill had items we didn’t order and had to point that out to get it corrected. The food was over-cooked, over-priced, and the portions were small. The 10 piece catfish were bite size nuggets with no flavor. And I know it’s hard to believe, but after all that the cashier shortchanged us $1... we didn’t even tell her, we just wanted to escape our worst dining experience ever.

The best restaurant FOR SURE this year! Get the chicken breast!! In sandwich or chicken fried chicken! the first timei got it I settled for the cafe.. I thought.. but the food was EXCELLENT. So now it's my new favorite. And open winter it seems. It's the only place I been getting food and only 1 time was I was not absolutely satisfied with the quality.

This cafe has the best people! I don't usually see this happen too often. We had a simple problem with the temperature of our dinners, but the very nice owner or manager made it right. The quality of the food is great. I will be going back next summer.
